Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lycan Core (“Lycan Core”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our 3D-printing service. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
The responsible party for your personal information is Lycan Core (Pty) Ltd (company registration 2025/3351/08), a made-to-order 3D-printing service based in Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@lycancore.co.za.
Information we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
- Delivery details — the recipient name, physical shipping address, and delivery contact number you provide for an order.
- Order content — the 3D model files (STL) you upload, your chosen material, colour, and print settings, and any notes you add.
- Payment status — confirmation of whether an order has been paid. We never see or store your card details — card payments are handled directly by our payment processor, Yoco.
- Technical data — basic usage and device information collected by our hosting and analytics tools to keep the site working and to understand how it is used.
How we use your information
- To generate quotes and process, print, and deliver your orders.
- To contact you about your order and provide support.
- To process payments through our payment provider.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and service.
- To comply with our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run Lycan Core, namely:
- Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
- Yoco — payment processing. Yoco handles your card information under its own privacy terms.
- Resend — sending transactional order emails.
- Couriers — we share the delivery address and contact details necessary to ship your order.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Uploaded 3D model files are retained to support reprints and disputes, and are deleted on request once they are no longer required for those purposes.
How we protect it
Your data is stored on infrastructure with database-level access controls and encryption in transit. Access to order data is restricted to the Lycan Core operator.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
- Object to certain processing of your information.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@lycancore.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable period.
